Low-sugar, Low-fat Biscuits

I love biscuits, but like you, I don’t want the fat-loaded, sugar-loaded kind.

This recipe is a little different. The batter contains no refined sugar , but will make delicious, soft biscuits! Chocolate is optional.

INGREDIENTS

1 banana, mashed
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup oil
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
3 handfuls of sultanas
1 handful of chocolate chips (optional)
Pinch of salt

INSTRUCTIONS

Mash the banana into the water, then mix in oil. Add flour, baking powder, soda, sultanas and chocolate, if desired. Roll into balls, flatten with a fork and bake on a greased tray until golden.
