Perfect Burgers


I’ve done it. This is the best burger I’ve made. Pictured here without bread but you can pop them in buns if you’d like. They’re great on the BBQ too!

Shown with Vegan Pirate’s wedges (which will be in the next blog post), drizzled in delicious mayonnaise.

Let’s begin!


1 tin of lentils, drained
1 tin of chickpeas, drained
2 handfuls mixed nuts
2 teaspoons of mustard
2 teaspoons mixed herbs
1/2 cup flour
Generous sprinkling salt


Whizz all ingredients (except oil) in the food processor. Press into burgers, fry in the oil, serve. Mmmmm.

  1. I think you must have a way better food processor than me!

    • I must admit, I have an incredible food processor. It is an 80s model Ralta Kitchen Whizz II. Best processor I’ve found. You can pick them up second hand for about $20.

  2. Substitute flour with 1/4 to 1/2 cup tapioca starch if you’d prefer a gluten-free version.
