Quick, cheap, beautiful raw bread.

Nobody tell me raw can’t be cheap.

The ground flaxseed costs 55c per 100 grams.

Sunflower seeds are similarly inexpensive.

The bread was dehydrated in our home-made dehydrator, which we made out of boxes and a lamp, for free.

This bread is really good for you, because it contains flax seed, otherwise known as linseed, which is extremely nutritious.

It about 2 minutes to blend up the batter, spread on trays and then dehydrate.

Shown served here with cashew cheese and fig & walnut jam.

 

INGREDIENTS

1 & 1/2 cups chopped celery
3 tablespoons sunflower seeds
1 & 1/2 cups ground flax seeds or linseed
1/2 cup water (adjust as required)
salt to taste

INSTRUCTIONS

Blend all ingredients in food processor. Ani’s recipe doesn’t call for salt but let me tell you, this needs it, so salt to taste. If more moisture is required, add a little more water. Spread batter onto silicone or dehydrator sheets. Dehydrate for about 4 hours, then flip bread gently and dehydrate the other side.

Serve.
